Conducts routine tests in clinical laboratories for use in treatment and diagnosis of diseases. Performs urinalyses, blood counts, and venipunctures and analyzes body fluids, tissues, and cells. May be under the supervision of a Medical Technologist (MT).
- MT or MLT (ASCP, HEW, AMT, or state accreditation) or eligible. If eligible, licensure must obtained within one year of hire date
- MT - Bachelor of Science degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical science
- MLT from an accredited institution and enrolled in a MT bachelors degree program to complete within two years
- One year of clinical experience preferred
