POSITION SUMMARY:
 
The Manager is responsible for the overall management of all activities for CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread, including supervision of Associates, fiscal oversight, implementation of programmatic goals, fundraising, developing and maintaining relationships within the community. The Manager works closely with volunteers, Foundation Associates, and community partners.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Consistently supports CHRISTUS Health's and CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread's mission, vision and core values.
  • Follows the CHRISTUS Guidelines related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), designed to prevent or detect unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Promotes a culture of safety for clients and Associates through proper identification, reporting, documentation and prevention of medical errors in a non-punitive environment.
  • Develops, builds and maintains collaborative relationships with community partners to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Attends Foundation and other community meetings when appropriate to represent CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread.
  • Integrates all collaborative program activities to support and expand existing health and social services for CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread and clients.
  • Oversees Our Daily Bread Associates, volunteers and facilitates access to educational opportunities.
  • Develops and maintains office policies and procedures.
  • Participates in planning and goal setting with Program Manager and Foundation as needed.
  •  Develops annual program budget with CHRISTUS Foundation Program Director and Senior Accountant, and monitors budget monthly and ensure program is operating within guidelines.
  •  Ensures proper expenditure documentation is available to Foundation Senior Accountant to support accurate stewardship reporting.
  • Assists Foundation Development Directors with funding requests for Our Daily Bread as needed.
  • Maintains a collaborative working relationship with CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare Associates, Board Members, and community partners.
  • Assists with other departmental functions and projects as needed.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
 
A. Education/Skills
  • Knowledge and experience in working with clients and mental health issues dual diagnosis and understanding of the homeless population required. Demonstrate high level of verbal, written and organizational skills. Individual must have strong administrative skills, sensitivity to the complex dynamics of community and homeless health population.
B. Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years experience managing and/or directing personnel. Experience in Community Health, collaborating with local community members, boards and organizations.
C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Master in Social Work preferred.
