Apply Now Human Resources Assistant I (TEMPORARY) Job in Santa Fe

Assumes responsibility for all HR front desk reception duties: Greets employees and visitors, refers to resources as necessary. Responds to incoming telephone calls within five rings and either assists caller or transfers call to appropriate individual. Responds appropriately to requests for information from applicants, employees, and community members. Responsible for logging and tracking all documents dropped off in HR. Assists with basic correspondence and performs data entry into computer system. Opens and distributes mail on a daily basis.

Provides clerical support to Human Resources. Performs filing of employee information, assists in maintaining employee databases, assists with correspondence as assigned.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Post high school clerical/computer training preferred.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: None required.

SKILLS: Reception and clerical skills required. Demonstrated proper telephone etiquette and positive interpersonal skills. Strong customer service skills and effective communication skills required; excellent organizational skills and ability to deal with multiple projects and duties; keyboarding, data entry, and alpha/numeric filing skills. Ability to use standard office equipment including multi-line telephone, computer, photocopier, and fax machine. Solid computer skills with ability to learn new software programs. Must maintain confidentiality of information. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office a plus.

EXPERIENCE: Two years reception and clerical experience. Human Resources healthcare setting preferred.

Works in clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment. Working hours are varied, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires the ability to speak clearly and listen attentively, and develop and communicate written materials. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time, as well as standing, stooping, stretching and lifting (up to 50 pounds) involved in filing duties.
