The Coordinator of Contract Building and Maintenance will be responsible for the financial analysis of contracts post contract negotiations including the auditing of contract builds in the designated contract management system, identifying reimbursement opportunities and assisting in the building of all health plan contracts for modeling. The position works with other members of the system managed care department as well as regional management in finance, the business office and case management to successfully report and monitor comprehensive indicators of profitability and payment accuracy of managed care contracts for CHRISTUS Health.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education/Skills

  • Undergraduate degree with strong preference for Master's degree in Business or Health Care Administration
  • Prefer experience with and understanding of Meditech, Pathways Contract Management (PCON), HPM and HBI.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must possess strong analytical skills
  • Must understand managed care contracts
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel and MS Access
  • Possess personal and professional values consistent with those of CHRISTUS Health.

B. Experience

  • Minimum of five years, ideally seven years, experience in finance ideally in health care or insurance organizations. Clinical knowledge a plus.
  • Consideration would be given for a minimum of 15 years experience in lieu of education.
