Is responsible to the Nursing Divisional Director to assist with daily operation, planning and coordination of patient care within assigned departments. Interfaces with all hospital departments, medical staff and the community as a representative of Nursing. Assures services are provided in compliance with hospital, Nursing and Department standards, policies and procedures. Provides direction to ensure high-quality programs and care in a cost-effective manner.
Current RN license in the State of Texas required.
Appropriate for the specialty desired. CPR-C required.
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN required.
A minimum of two (2) years clinical experience with Ortho and/or Neuro patient populations.
Experience desired: Staffing and scheduling management, staff development, personnel management and financial budget management.
Ability to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others. Ability to effectively communicate with patients and provide competent care as appropriate to the ages of patients served by this position.
