To work under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist. To assist pharmacist in providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care for all patients of the hospital by performing non-judgmental technical duties associated with the dispensing of medications, preparing and distributing drugs and maintaining the drug inventory and reports
Current Pharmacy Technician License from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
High School Graduate or equivalent; LVN license in the state of Texas OR, an equivalent level of education and experience.
One year pharmacy technician experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others. Ability to comply with all Good Shepherd policies and procedures that are job-related and consistent with business necessity. Ability to effectively communicate with patients and provide competent care as appropriate to the ages of patients served by this position.
